Statement of Faith

God

We affirm our faith in the one true and living God, the Creator and Sustainer of all things. He is holy, infinitely perfect, and exists eternally in a loving unity of three equally divine Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. With limitless wisdom and sovereign power, God has, from all eternity, graciously purposed to redeem a people for Himself and to bring renewal to all creation for His own glory.

The Scriptures

We hold that God has spoken through the Scriptures—the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments—using human authors to communicate His truth. The Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God, free from error in its original manuscripts, and stands as the complete and final revelation of His will for our salvation. As the highest authority, the Bible is the standard by which every aspect of human knowledge and conduct must be measured. Therefore, we are called to fully believe all that it teaches, obey all that it commands, and trust all that it promises.

The Human Condition

We believe that humanity was created by God in His own image, as seen in Adam and Eve. However, through their disobedience in response to Satan’s temptation, sin entered the world, and all people became sinners by nature and by choice. As a result, humanity stands alienated from God and subject to His just wrath. Deliverance, reconciliation, and renewal are possible only through God’s saving work accomplished in Jesus Christ.

The Person of Jesus Christ

We confess that Jesus Christ is God incarnate—fully God and fully man—united in one Person with two natures. As the promised Messiah of Israel, Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a life without sin, was crucified under the authority of Pontius Pilate, rose bodily from the grave, ascended to heaven, and now sits at the right hand of God the Father, serving as our eternal High Priest and Advocate.

The Saving Work of Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ, acting as our representative and substitute, shed His blood on the cross, offering Himself as the perfect and sufficient sacrifice for our sins. His atoning death and triumphant resurrection form the sole basis for our salvation and reconciliation with God.

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit’s mission is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ in all things. He convicts the world of sin and guilt, regenerates those who believe, and unites them to Christ, adopting them as children of God. The Spirit dwells within every believer, illuminating God’s Word, guiding, equipping, and empowering them for a life that reflects Christ and serves others.

The Church

We believe that the true church consists of all who have been justified by God’s grace, through faith in Christ alone. United by the Holy Spirit, believers together form the body of Christ, with Christ Himself as the Head. The true church is expressed in local congregations, whose members are professing believers. Christ established two ordinances—baptism and the Lord’s Supper—as visible signs of the gospel. While these ordinances do not impart salvation, when celebrated in genuine faith, they strengthen and nourish believers.

Christian Living

We believe that God’s gift of justifying grace is inseparable from His call to sanctification. God commands us to love Him above all else and to love others with self-sacrificing compassion. We are to live out our faith in mutual care, serve the poor, and seek justice for the oppressed. By relying on God’s Word, the power of the Holy Spirit, and prayer in Christ’s name, we are called to stand against the spiritual forces of evil. In obedience to Christ’s commission, we are to make disciples of all nations, bearing witness to the gospel in both word and deed.

The Return of Christ

We confess our hope in the personal, bodily, and glorious return of our Lord Jesus Christ. Only God knows the timing of His coming, which calls us to live in constant expectation. This blessed hope inspires believers toward holy living, selfless service, and diligent mission.

Response and Eternal Destiny

We believe that God calls all people everywhere to respond to the gospel by turning to Him in repentance and receiving Jesus Christ as Lord. At the end of the age, God will raise the dead bodily and judge all humanity. Unbelievers will face eternal, conscious punishment, while believers will enjoy unending joy and blessedness in the presence of the Lord in the new heaven and new earth, to the praise and glory of His grace. Amen.
