From a teenage preacher in the heartlands of Minnesota to a visionary church founder, Pastor Patrick "Pat" Nelson's journey of faith began at just sixteen years old. His passion for sharing Christ's message led him to the Saint Timothy Institute to obtain a B.A. in Biblical Studies and Christian Leaders College, where he earned his Bachelor of Divinity, before deepening his theological foundations with a Master of Divinity from Newburgh Theological Seminary and a PhD. in Systematic Theology from Northwestern Theological Seminary.
​Throughout his journey, Pat has served in various roles—guiding young souls as a youth pastor and offering comfort as a chaplain. As an ordained minister in The Evangelical Reformed Church in America, his commitment to spreading God's word has always been his guiding principle.
However, Pat's most ambitious calling emerged in January 2025, when he launched The Evangelical Reformed Church. This groundbreaking ministry bridges the gap between those already walking in faith and those still seeking their spiritual path, creating a welcoming space where all can gather to be nourished by God's word. Through this innovative approach, Pastor Pat continues to break down traditional barriers, demonstrating that modern ministry can be both deeply rooted in tradition and refreshingly accessible to all.
